Presentation of 2 MIKEYS in Memory of Alex Corrance to Joshua's Creek Arena


On Friday November 23, two MIKEYS were donated to the town of Oakville in Alex's memory. One MIKEY will be installed at the Joshua's Creek Arena while the other will travel with Minor Oaks Hockey Association teams when they attend games and tournaments. Latest Mikey Donation to Wilfrid Laurier University
Joe Capone, Vice President of Cartier Kitchens and The Mikey Network have partnered to contribute a public-access defibrillator, called a “Mikey”, to Wilfrid Laurier University. First Mikey Network Award Presented to Ryerson University Student
The Mikey Network is dedicated to creating public awareness and provide education about heart healthy lifestyles. The network has created an annual award for the School of Nutrition Sciences at Ryerson University. The first ever Mikey Network Award was presented to Pearl Le. The award is given to a student entering the 1st year of the Nutrition and Food program from an Ontario High School and who demonstrates academic excellence and a commitment to the promotion of nutrition to prevent chronic diseases.

Hockey 4 Life Celebrity Party and Hockey/Golf Tournament

Working with The Mikey Network, Hockey4Life raises funds to place Mikeys in Ontario hockey arenas. This year Hockey4Life has been raising funds through fantasy events such as hockey games, parties and golf tournaments with some of Canada’s biggest celebrities.
Canada's 911 Ride
This year for Canada’s second 911 ride, beginning at the Woodbine Race track, continuing through Markham, Gravenhurst (with a stop over at the Ontario Fire College), Wasaga Beach and ending for the evening at Blue Mountain Resort it was a beautiful ride. The following day, the ride headed back home to end at Haugen’s Restaurant for refreshments.
The Mikey Network is thankful to the Ride organizers for allowing us to be included in the list of recipients benefiting from their efforts.

Toronto Racquet Club
On November 2, 2006, The Toronto Racquet Club was the scene of a MIKEY in action. The MIKEY defibrillator purchased three weeks earlier, and installed just six days before Sam Webster's cardiac arrest. Another living proof of The Mikey Network saving lives.
